​I. The Mission
​"To Honor the Edifice Through the Artistry of Application."
​The Chromatic Preservation Society (CPS) was founded on the principle that a residence is not merely a structure, but a canvas demanding the highest order of stewardship. We are not simply a collective of painters ; we are custodians of curb appeal and guardians of architectural integrity. Our mandate is to elevate the maintenance of the home exterior and interior from a mundane chore to a refined pursuit of aesthetic excellence.
​II. The Philosophy
​In an era of hurried renovations and impersonal contractors, the Society champions the "Slow Restoration" movement. We believe that the selection of a pigment is a moral choice, that proper surface preparation is a discipline of character, and that the stroke of a brush should be executed with the intent of a master artist. We reject the commoditization of our neighborhoods. Instead, we strive for a visual harmony that respects both the provenance of the property and the landscape it inhabits.
​III. Membership Tiers
​Membership in the Society is by invitation or vetted application only. We offer three distinct tiers of affiliation:
​1. The Associate (Initiate Level)
​For the aspiring restorationist seeking guidance in the fundamental arts of the trade.
​Privileges:
​Access to the Society’s curated library of color theory and historical palettes.
​Entry to quarterly workshops: “The Chemistry of Adhesion” and “Brush Care Protocols.”
​Apprentice-level access to the Guild’s shared equipment repository (ladders, scaffolding, and pressure vessels).
​Annual Dues: Inquire for current rates.
​2. The Artisan (Full Member)
​For the demonstrated craftsman who has successfully completed a major exterior project to the Society's exacting standards.
​Privileges:
​Full voting rights on Society by-laws and neighborhood beautification grants.
​Exclusive discounts with our heritage partners (purveyors of Farrow & Ball, Benjamin Moore Aura, and Fine Paints of Europe).
​Direct consultation privileges with the Society’s resident Architect and Master Colorist.
​Invitation to the Annual "White Sash" Gala.
​Prerequisite: Portfolio review of past surface restoration work.
​3. The Patron (Benefactor Level)
​For the discerning philanthropist who wishes to support the beautification of the community at large, regardless of their personal participation in labor.
​Privileges:
​Named sponsorship of a community restoration project.
​Honorary status at all ceremonial finishings.
​A private consultation for their own estate management needs.
​IV. The Code of Conduct
​Members of the Chromatic Preservation Society are held to a rigorous standard of decorum and operation:
​Excellence in Materials: The use of inferior, diluted, or non-archival paints is strictly prohibited on Society-sanctioned projects.
​Environmental Stewardship: All solvents and chemicals must be disposed of with the utmost ecological responsibility.
​Neighborly Consideration: we keep paint prices low for the consumers our family are neighbors are friends.  Work sites must be maintained with military precision; visual clutter and noise pollution are to be minimized at all times.
​V. Application for Candidacy
​Prospective members are invited to submit a letter of intent outlining their philosophy on architectural restoration and their current project goals. The Membership Committee reviews applications on the first Tuesday of every month.

This membership make sure you your family your friends work three hundred and sixty five days a year. 

​1. VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION
​The Releasor voluntarily wishes to participate in the following activity/activities (hereinafter "The Activity"):
​2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
​The Releasor understands that The Activity may involve inherent risks, dangers, and hazards, which may result in injury, death, property damage, or other loss. The Releasor acknowledges that these risks may result from their own actions, the actions of others, or the negligence of the Releasee. The Releasor knowingly and freely assumes all such risks, both known and unknown.
​3. RELEASE OF LIABILITY
​To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Releasor hereby releases, waives, and forever discharges the Releasee, its agents, employees, officers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the Releasor, or to any property belonging to the Releasor, while participating in The Activity.
​4. LIMITATION ON CRIMINAL WAIVER (SEVERABILITY)
​The Parties acknowledge that this Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the jurisdiction. The Parties understand that under applicable law, liability for criminal acts, gross negligence, or intentional misconduct generally cannot be waived. If any portion of this release is held to be invalid or unenforceable (such as an attempt to waive criminal liability), the balance of the Agreement shall continue in full legal force and effect.
​5. INDEMNIFICATION
​The Releasor agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Releasee from and against any and all costs, expenses, damages, lawsuits, and/or liabilities or claims of any nature incurred or resulting from the Releasor’s participation in The Activity.
